The Washington County Board of Commissioners has approved over $42 million for two transitional housing projects and a new access center. $29 million will be used to rehabilitate an existing hotel to provide 80 to 90 temporary homes, while $8 million will fund a new transitional housing facility in Hillsboro, offering stabilization for 39 individuals. Both projects are expected to be completed by spring 2026.
